Federal Parent PLUS loan counseling is not required in order to borrow from this loan program. However, if you want to have a better understanding of how the Parent PLUS loan program works, then this online guide is a great resource. It will give you information such as the terms and conditions of the loan program; your rights and responsibilities as a borrower; items to consider before borrowing; and repayment plans and options.
If you would like to go through the online loan counseling, then click here. Once you are done, you can then come back to the financial aid site to complete the online loan application if you are still wanting to borrow and have not yet done so.
Once you have clicked on the link above, you will then need to enter a user ID and password. If you have an ID set up with Sallie Mae from prior borrowing, you can use it. If not, then you will need to create a user ID and password before reviewing the guide information.
